1. The aim of the project is to complete the basic motorway D3, to improve conditions for international and national traffic and to increase fluidity, speed and road safety. After the completion of the construction of the section D3 with a length of 4.25 km, conditions will be created for a substantial reduction of traffic on road I/11 and road I/18 (departure of transit of both freight and passenger transport from the city of Žilina).2. The activities of the project focus on the construction of motorways and expressways, including feeders (TEN-T CORE), with the aim of removing key bottlenecks on the TEN-T road infrastructure through the construction of new sections of motorways and expressways. 3. The place of implementation of the project is in Žilina region, in the district of Žilina. The D3 motorway is part of the TEN-T Core network, with a well-known national and international dormant role, particularly in the north-south direction. 4. The measurable indicators of the project in question are: Total length of newly built roads on the TEN-T network (CORE) – 4.25 km.Saving time in road transport on motorways and express roads – EUR 7 529 423.Saving of NO2 emissions (impact of motorway construction) – 46.117 tonnes.Saving of PM10 emissions (impact of construction of motorways) – 1 tonne.
