The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic is designated as the Audit Authority (AA) for operational programmes covered by the Partnership Agreement 2014-2020 within the meaning of Act No 292/2014 on the contribution from the European Structural and Investment Funds and amending certain acts. The aim of the project in question is to ensure the effective fulfilment of duties and tasks for the AA from the relevant EU and Slovak regulations and legislation through the involvement of personnel capacities/experts from an external environment. This involvement will achieve an efficient and high-quality performance of government audits in line with the requirements of the EC. The project has four main activities defined, namely:1. External audit services in the performance of audits of management and control systems, audits of operations, audits of accounts and at closure of assistance;2. Verification of the criteria for designation of authorities for operational programmes in the 2014-2020 programming period;3. Expert services in the conduct of government audits;4. Advisory and advisory support for the implementation of statistical methods and the development of statistical procedures in the field of sampling.
