Pursuant to Section 140 of Act No 343/2015 on public procurement and amending certain acts, as amended by Act No 438/2015 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Public Procurement Act’), the Public Procurement Office (‘the Office’) is the central public authority for public procurement. Under Section 147 of the Public Procurement Act, which governs the remit of the Office, i.a. the Office performs a state administration in the field of public procurement and supervision of public procurement. According to Section 147(1) of the Public Procurement Act, the Office supervises compliance with the obligations of the contracting authority/entity or person pursuant to Section 8 laid down by this Act.Supporting and refunding of salary expenditure of administrative capacity will enable the Office to ensure sufficient qualified, efficient and effective support for managing authorities and the audit authority and, by ensuring effective cooperation, will contribute to more efficient performance in the framework of the tasks entrusted to it. Ensuring adequate evaluation of human resources will ensure faster and more efficient performance of activities linked to the control of public procurement carried out in the framework of projects co-financed by the ESI Funds.The project will be implemented through the main activity: The financing of wage expenditure of the OAC PPO. Authorised staff members of the Office shall be staff members of the Office carrying out eligible activities in accordance with the description of the activity of the civil servant post.
