The project deals with a significant reduction in energy intensity of the Maternity School Opatovská 654/39 in Trenčín. The kindergarten consists of 4 pavilions and a connecting corridor, with a capacity of 90 children and 35 toddlers and infants. The construction system does not meet the requirements for environmental hygiene and thermal protection of construction structures and buildings. Insufficient insulation is manifested by the formation of a thermal bridge and the subsequent emergence of molds in the corners of the rooms. The perimeter and roof covering has adverse results and does not meet the current requirements at all and it is necessary to clearly address the insulation. By implementing the project, we will achieve energy savings as well as efficiency in the management of public resources. Through optimally selected solutions, namely insulation of the outer shell, insulation of the roof covering, replacement of opening structures, modernisation of heating, lighting and air conditioning, while using RES, the realisation of the project will have a positive impact on the quality of the environment by reducing emissions. In doing so, the project contributes to improving the living conditions of the population in the region. By implementing the project, we will contribute to meeting strategic national as well as European targets for the efficient use of renewables while reducing the energy intensity of public buildings.
