In the context of the increasing number of obligations arising from the implementation of the Operational Programme Research and Innovation (hereinafter referred to as “R & I OP”) under the 2014-2020 programming period and the completion of the 2007-2013 programming period from the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Economic Growth (OP KaHR), implemented by the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (hereinafter SIEA), the need for increased administrative capacity and related material and technical security requirements has increased. The main objective is to create an optimal working environment as well as to ensure the quality of the work of authorised employees. In the long term, SIEA does not have own resources to finance the material and technical provision of eligible staff involved in the implementation, management, monitoring, information, control and audit of the OPVaI under the 2014-2020 programming period and the closure of the 2007-2013 programming period of OP KaHR.SIEA therefore uses technical assistance funds to provide material and technical equipment for eligible staff. The financing of eligible expenditure will be carried out by a reimbursement system. The operational management assurance and the above-mentioned support for the implementation, monitoring and control of ESI Funds assistance under the R & I OP ultimately have a positive effect on the implementation of eligible activities and quality outputs. The implementation of the project will contribute to the quality and efficiency of the performance of the eligible activities of the staff. The funds will be spent in accordance with the principle of effective spending of funds and in accordance with the relevant legislation, in particular the Public Procurement Act.
