The primary objective of the project “Expansion of the capacity of pre-school facilities in the village of Jarovnice” is through the reconstruction of the kindergarten in the village, to improve access to quality education of pre-school children with an emphasis on children from the marginalised Roma community.  For these objectives, the priority of Jarovnice is to expand the capacity of the pre-school facility, which will partially cover the needs of the local community and create optimal conditions for full participation in pre-primary education also for children from marginalised Roma communities. The kindergarten in Jarovnice is the only school establishment where early childhood education and care is provided. The current capacity of the above-mentioned school establishment is 98 places. The implementation of the main activities of the project – superstructure of the building – is expected to increase the capacity of the Ministry by 64 seats. After reconstruction, the MŠ would provide pre-primary education for 162 children from the village, including at least 30 new places for children from the marginalised Roma community (i.e. 30 % of the original capacity). Improving access to education and working directly with the community are secondary objectives for meeting priorities within community work needs. Partial reconstruction of the original parts of the MŠ building will also contribute to the overall improvement of the technical condition of the building, the space used by children in pre-school age.  The present project will be implemented construction works, which carry out an intervention into its packaging structure in the range of 44 %, thus fulfilling the condition of “significant renovation of the building” according to Act 555/2005 Coll. The proposed project is conceptually fully in line with the global objective of the OP HR, Priority axis No. 6 Technical equipment in municipalities with the presence of marginalised Roma communities, fulfils the objectives of the investment priority 6.1 Providing support for physical, economic and social regeneration of deprived communities in urban and rural areas through specific objective 6.1.2 Support for reconstruction of pre-school facilities in municipalities with the presence of a marginalised Roma community with emphasis on capacity expansion. At the same time, it is fully in line with the long-term plans of the municipality of Jarovnice set out in the documents The Plan for Economic and Social Development of Jarovnice and the Strategy for Economic and Economic Development of the Municipality 2014-2030 and in the Territorial Plan of the Municipality.
