The territory of Vojka is a territorial unit which forms one cadastral territory, namely the cadastral territory Vojka.Obec Vojka is located in the southern part of the Východoslovenská nížina lowland. From the point of view of the territorial division of the Slovak Republic, the municipality belongs to the Košice region, at the level of the districts Vojka is located in the district Trebišov.K 31.12.2015 in the village Vojka used 503 persons. In the medium term, the population of the village is expected to stabilise at around 550. The population of Hungarian nationality (62.3 %) is dominant in the national structure of the village. The unemployment rate also in the microspace of the village (in the Trebišov district) is also long-term high in – higher than the average in the Košice region. School education is an expression of the cultural maturity of each society. It is one of the factors influencing the standard of living and conditioning the successful development of the national economy in all its areas. From the point of view of the education of the population, the municipality has a less competitive educational level – in the village Vojka the educational structure of the population is less favorable compared to the nationwide average. The economy is mainly represented by agricultural primary production, food production, engineering and construction. The economic potential is made up of small firms predominantly of the nature of trade and services. In the village there is 1 kindergarten, which is the founding competence of the village (the kindergarten and the primary school are institutions with the Hungarian language of instruction). Local children attend primary schools in nearby villages (Boľ, Kráľovský Chlmec). It is true that the unemployed are currently involved in activation activities within the framework of the Labour Office programme. However, the majority of the population live on a minimum wage and, as far as Roma people are concerned, they are in material need. Based on these facts, there has recently been an increase in the idea of offences and criminal activities, and despite all the efforts made by the PZ, it is not possible to maintain safety on the streets of the village with the current state. In this case, it should be mentioned that the Municipality of Vojka is located in the three-band border area, it is a Slovak, Hungarian and Ukrainian border. In the past, there has been a greater incidence of migrants in this area and, with the help of the extension of the camera system, the city can contribute to cooperation with the Border Police in Montenegro and Tisza in the area of migration through the above-mentioned border zones. This figure was the main reason that a village of 503 inhabitants reported to this call. As part of the project, the municipality plans to employ 4 citizens from MRC as members of the MOPS in Vojka village for 36 months. The needs of the target group in favour of which the project is implemented consist of helping to address the adverse social situation they have reached due to their persistence in spatially or socially segregated locations, where the capacity of social inclusion and self-solving problems is limited. These problems are mainly due to unemployment, non-employability, dependence, poverty, degradation of moral values, inadequate time spent, divorce, crime, etc. Reasons for the establishment of the municipal civil service:• high concentration of the population with problems and inability to solve these problems on their own, poor material and environment, inadequate housing• unfavourable road infrastructure, which puts children at risk on the way to and from school• widening social inequalities, increasing offences and criminality• loss of work habits and relation to the environment• lack of legal awareness and low level of responsibility leading to social exclusion among MRC members Objectives of the project: The global objective is to use the Local Civil Service Facility (MOPS) in municipalities to strengthen local activism, promote community development, reduce anti-social behaviour, maintain public order and standard quality of the environment in locations where people living in marginalised Roma communities live.
