The project builds on previous EU-funded activities of the workplace, e.g.: GoFastR (2011-2013), GA 249678, “Allegro Research Centre”, (2014-2015 ITMS code 26220220198), which was implemented on the basis of the non-repayable financial contribution contract No OPVaV/3/2014, including the submitted ALFA2 project, which is currently under assessment under the call HORIZON2020, NFRP-2018-2. Research tasks are divided into different areas: The issue of material resistance to extreme operational loads is one of the fundamental areas of studying the feasibility of the project and therefore in this report we will focus not only on selected material properties for ALLEGRO, but also on the specific methods and techniques of research of selected materials for defined boundary conditions of operation of this gas-cooled fast reactor. The second area is the actual solution of physical and technical problems and the work cycle of the IV generation rapid reactor".In the framework of the project ALLEGRO ITMS 26220220198, 48 university teachers and researchers from seven institutes of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering STU in Bratislava were dealt with in total from October 2014 to December 2015. Working package 3 – Research facilities for the reactor ALLEGRO activity 2.1 Applied research and development in the field of new materials and technologies.According to the technical specification of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering STU implemented the design, production, installation and commissioning of experimental helium loop a.s. ŠKODA JS Plzeň. The experimental helium loop, in which the reactor’s emergency cooling through the natural circulation of helium is checked, is located in the premises of the s.r.o. ENERGOMONT on Zavarská cesta No. 11 in Trnava.
