The project will carry out independent research and development with the overall aim of the project to improve animal production conditions in order to improve the quality of products of animal origin by improving animal husbandry conditions while reducing negative environmental impacts. The overall objective of the project is in line with the Healthy Food and Environment Smart Specialisation Domain and falls within the knowledge field of animal production. The planned activities of the present project reflect current societal needs and are in line with the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialisation of Slovakia (RIS3 SK). 3 cross-cutting areas of science using and strengthening the research potential of the SPU in Nitra will contribute significantly to the achievement of the overall objective.Increase emphasis on the quality of products of animal originStrengthen the international position of scientific and research capacities in the ERA (European Research Area) space and thus move closer to the possibility of using the ESFRI structure. Activities of the applicant are focused on the following product línie:Technológie livestock farming with emphasis on high product quality, content of valuable ingredients and production with higher added valueOptimisation of animal nutrition and feed preparation systems to improve the quality of productionAgrotechnical and breeding systems minimising negative environmental impacts through direct outputs and results of selected product lines to fulfill the Main SK NACE: Number of research institutions supported, which is 1 SPU in Nitra.
