The objective of the project is the development of an information system (single window) to facilitate trade in pre-customs procedures. This system will allow traders to submit the particulars (data) required for issuing licences/certificates/approvals, as well as the necessary supporting documents, from only one point and only once in order to clear their goods. It will also support the sending and sharing of the necessary information electronically among all stakeholders (public and private) in cross-border trade (port operators, airports, free zones, warehouses, veterinary authorities, plant health authorities, etc.). The aim is that the trader is not obliged to contact the various authorities responsible for obtaining the necessary certificates, but to be able to submit their data once and at a point to clear their goods. In this way, the benefits for the government and economic operators are multiple, as the trader will be able to find all the necessary information in a timely manner, thus reducing costs of compliance with trade rules, administrative costs and reducing the time needed to complete an export/import/transit, etc. In addition, the government will benefit from increased recoverability, saving human resources, limiting fraud, etc. Beneficiary and operating body of the project is the Independent Authority for Public Revenue and its total budget amounts to EUR 1 661 352,00.
