The object of the project is the implementation of a specific, flexible, transparent, objective and effective framework of procedures and rules for the operation of the Directorates-General for Antiquities and Cultural Heritage and the Directorate-General for Restoration, Museums and Technical Works of the Ministry of Culture, which accept the majority of processing requests from citizens, businesses and public bodies. The main focus of the project is the upgrading and at the same time the effective provision of services to citizens, businesses and other public bodies. The new simplified procedures will be a tool for competitiveness, growth, transparency and cutting red tape, while establishing a modern and flexible high-quality service environment for citizens, businesses and public bodies associated with the above mentioned Directorates. In addition, a properly developed Information Infrastructure will be developed, with the ultimate aim of modernising the framework for providing services to citizens, businesses and public bodies using modern technological means. At the same time, a digitalisation infrastructure will be developed for the management of archives and the subsequent computerisation of the new, simplified procedures of the two Directorates-General. In addition, digital services will be developed, covering both administrative requests from citizens and businesses and intra-administrative requests from cooperating public administration bodies, with the central objective of reducing costs and processing times, as well as substantially upgrading the quality of service to citizens, businesses and public bodies. The beneficiary of the project is the Information Society SA and the Operating Body, the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Culture and Sport. The project is implemented by recourse to an external contractor and a total budget of EUR 629.195.43.
