Automation and centralised procedures and development of tools for more efficient debt management and collection

The object of the project is the automation and centralisation of debt collection procedures and the improvement of the functioning of the tax and customs administration in the area of revenue, through the development and operation of an Integrated Information System (ISS) monitoring, management and automation of the procedures entailed by the debts of traders with the tax and customs administration. The focus of the system will be on the debt and the operational flow it entails. In particular, the project concerns the development and operation of IIS for the monitoring, management and automation of arrears procedures and is divided into the following applications: 1. Implement the management and monitoring of debtor identity and debts.2. Implementation of clearing management, monitoring and automation.3. Implementation of sending and managing electronic notifications, notifications and performance.4. Implement management, monitoring and automation of recovery measures.5. Implementation of information to taxpayers on debt matters.6. The aim of the project is to develop an automated procedure for debt management in order to be able to immediately guarantee the resolution of a significant part of them. At the same time, improve the working conditions of those responsible for the collection of arrears. In this context, it is necessary to collect all available information with a focus on the debtor (debtor profile), triggering voluntary and enforced recovery procedures.Beneficiary and operational body of the project is the Secretariat-General for Public Revenue of the Ministry of Finance. The project is implemented by recourse to an external contractor following an open international tender, with a total budget of EUR 768 051.50. The estimated total implementation time is 20 months.
