The Second Chance Schools, in addition to the basic knowledge and skills they provide to adult learners, aim to strengthen them at the same time in the social roles they undertake, in the family, in the professional field, in economic and political life and to achieve their social development through the improvement of their educational level. The successful completion of the student’s two-year education is certified with a qualification equivalent to the secondary school diploma (Law 2525/1997). Also, under Subproject 4 SDE AP8 MET: Solid Greece is to operate 6 SDEs i.orhomenos and external departments of Thebes, ii.Aliberiou, iii. Mantoudi-Limnis-Agia Anna, iv.‘mfissa, v. Lamia, vi.1st Eliona Thebes (Filakon).The number of trainees in the year ′15-’16 is expected to reach 244 trainees in Sterea Greece. Finally, within the framework of Subproject 5 SDE AP9 PAP: South Aegean, two SDEs i.R. and ii.Syros and external departments of Naxos and Thera will be operational. The number of trainees in 15-'16 is expected to reach 225.
