This proposal aims at carrying out work on the energy upgrading of the General Hospital of Larissa, in the building where medical and nursing services are mainly housed, which have a useful area of approximately 16 959.46 m² out of the total of 18 708 m², with the aim of reducing its energy requirements and saving energy. Interventions include actions from all 3 eligible categories: Energy Category 1: Energy Upgrade and Energy Saving (ETS) interventions which will be the replacement of natural gas boilers, the installation of an energy management system (BEMS), and the replacement of heating-cooling water pumps with new variable speed pumps. Energy Category 2: Demonstration actions for the installation of combined heat power plants (CHHP) and actions for the exploitation of renewable energy sources (RES) by installing a CHP unit in the new hospital wing and finally Energy Category 3: Actions to replace medical equipment.The overall interventions for the energy upgrading of the hospital will result in the energy upgrading of the complex from Category E to Category B.
