The proposed project concerns the construction of an airline of 400 kV electricity transmission which will connect the Lagada cell to the FILIPON hotspot, approximately 110 km long. The aim of the project is to expand and strengthen the 400 kV System to Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, resulting in the development of Renewable Energy Sources (RES), the possibility of absorbing conventional production of new thermal power plants in the Thrace region and strengthening interconnections with neighbouring countries.
