Acquisition of school tablets and other equipment necessary for the online teaching activity in Borşa, Maramures County

According to the issues communicated by the European Commission letter No Ares(2020)1847818 on the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus pandemic investment initiative, the European Commission proposes to mobilise cohesion policy funds to respond in a flexible manner to the needs arising in the context of the pandemic in the most affected sectors (e.g. health, SMEs, workforce). The conduct of teaching activities in school year 2020/2021 requires a series of measures needed to carry out the educational process in good conditions for both students and teachers in the context of SARS-proofing of education in the context of SARS-CoV-2 pandemic crisis, in order to avoid a rapid increase in the COVID-19 infection, but also to create the conditions necessary for the deployment of the COVID-19 virus, as well as to create the necessary conditions for the COVID-2 coronavirus pandemic response to the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus pandemic. In this context, the proposed project aims to equip the unit with IT equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The availability of IT equipment for the school year 2020/2021 will provide the necessary conditions in order to avoid the rapid spread of the disease in the context of the pandemic situation created by the SARS-Cov-2 virus. In this respect one of the measures adopted by the Emergency Ordinance no. 144 of 24 August 2020 on measures for the allocation of non-repayable external funds necessary for the prevention of teaching activities for the 2020/2021 school year in the context of the risk of infection with coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 refers to ensuring students’ access to the learning process in the online environment. In this respect, the measure envisages equipping students with mobile information technology equipment such as school tablets (including 24-month internet subscription) and other electronic equipment/devices, so that training hours during teaching activities can take place online, in order to avoid direct contact between pupils and teachers and other pupils, and to prevent the risk of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which would jeopardise the normal performance of all the teaching activities necessary for the educational process. In this context, the project proposed by ORAȘUL BORŞA aims to equip the educational units in order to function with equipment
