ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE HEADQUARTERS C.J. GIURGIU

The general objective of the project is to achieve measures of thermal efficiency of energy at the level of the headquarters building in which the activity of public institutions of county interest is carried out: Giurgiu County Council, the Prefect’s Institute Giurgiu and the Ethnography Section of the Teohari County Museum Antonescu Giurgiu. The proposed investment falls within the thematic objective pursued under the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020 Priority Axis 3, namely the transition to a low carbon economy. The actions to be taken closely pursue the specific objective of the investment priority 3.1. B Public buildings, i.e. supporting energy efficiency and energy management and renewable energy use in public buildings. The aim of this project is to increase energy efficiency through thermal insulation of the C.J. Giurgiu headquarters. The general objective of the project is to reduce the costs related to the maintenance of the building in terms of energy efficiency as well as to provide optimal hydrothermal comfort for the activity related to the destination of the building. The construction sector is worldwide a major energy consumer and a major greenhouse gas generator, which is why improving the energy efficiency of public buildings is an important objective at the level of non-refundable financing policies of the European Union.
