The general objective of the project is to facilitate access to the educational process in the online environment in the context of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic by equipping schools in Podu Iloaiei with mobile equipment in the field of information technology such as school tablets, including a 24-month internet subscription, as well as other electronic equipment/devices needed to carry out the teaching activity in the online environment in good conditions in the school year 2020-2021. The project aims to create the technical prerequisites for the functioning of the education process in the situation where some or all of the students have to follow home classes. The project also contributes to the programme result indicator: No. users of digital services and applications by equipping classes in the pre-university educational unit(s) with high-performance IT equipment/devices. At the same time, the project aims to contribute to increasing the resilience of education systems — systems that are more flexible, fully dedicated to all students, systems that educate through a variety of ways/methods and technologies that are better equipped to cope with possible crises. Both the general and the specific objectives of the project contribute to the achievement of objective 2.3 of the POC, “Increasing the use of the Internet”. ICT tools support the learning process and are also the most representative for supporting the development of classroom graduation and continuous preparation of students, but also for facilitating digital inclusion. Such an approach is perfectly synchronised with the economic development strategy based on smart specialisation that involves an approach to economic development and innovation in line with the specificity of the area that could be developed. This project, through its purpose, will create an integrated environment to meet the specific needs of the sustained and coherent use of multi-media communication as a critical resource for the modern educational process and thus will lay the foundations for more flexible education models that will facilitate the learning process.All the activities proposed through the project will contribute to the achievement of the specific objectives, which will achieve the general objective. It is a feasible project with an estimated total duration of realisation (from the initiation of the documents for the preparation of the Financing Application until the completion of the project implementation) of 12 months, which will be completed by 31.08.2021.
