The general objective of the project is to achieve a research centre in the field of sustainable eco-bioeconomy that allows for inter- and trans-disciplinary research. By providing specific laboratory equipment, the project allows a new research centre that fits into the European Union (EU) strategy for the development of a sustainable and sustainable economy based on the efficient and environmentally sound management of natural resources to be put on the map of Romania. The newly created research centre will make it possible to strengthen research and innovation in the ‘Biotechnologies’ priority area by proposing economic alternatives to renewable products, eco-friendly technologies and not least to study climate impacts on ecosystems. It should be noted that “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad is part of the national research consortium — RoRIC — for emerging nanobiotechnologies (included in the CRIC-ROADMAP report) and this consortium is a national network of complementary research infrastructures for the development of emerging nanobiotechnologies with cross-sectoral relevance
