The operation consists of the acquisition of:_x000D_ • A 120 kV transmission electron microscope that will be used for the observation and characterization of samples (proteins, macromolecular complexes, cell organelles and cell sections) and for the selection of those that will be subject to further study at high resolution with the electronic cryomicroscope 300 kV_x000D_ • An ultra-freezer system (vitrification) of thick samples (cells, tissues and small organisms) for later observation by fluorescence optical cryomicroscopy in order to detect the regions of interest._x000D_ • A correlative cryomicroscopy system composed of:_x000D_ - A confocal cryo microscope with high resolution module_x000D_ - An electronic scanning cryomicroscope coupled to a computerized ionic abrasion system (Focus Ion Bearni Scanning Electron Microscopei FIB / SEM)_x000D_ - A cryotransfer system for transporting frozen samples from the confocal oromicroscope to the FIEWSEM and from there to the 300 KV cryomicroscope._x000D_ • An electronic cryo microscope of high voltage transmission (300 kV), equipped with a field emitting gun as an electron source, an energy filter system. a phase plate and an advanced direct electron detection system. This electronic cryomicroscope will be used to acquire the final images, which require the best possible quality, at the end of the processes._x000D_ • Computing infrastructure (servers) for the storage and primary treatment of the data generated by the high voltage transmission electronic cryomicroscope.
