The operation INtegration of advanced Capacities for trasLational carDiovascular rEsearch in NANBIOSIS (INCLuDE NANBIOSIS) aims to streghten applied cardiovascular traslational research capabilitites in the involvedresearch lines by including chronic models with comorbidities, namely diabetes. For this purpose, an update and optimizaton of NANBIOSIS Units 24 (Medical Imaging) and 21 (Experimental Operating Rooms) are requested. This included sate of the art imaging systems that, at the same time, are equivaent, if not the same, to those currently in clinical use, in order to decrease the time needed for clincial traslation to the minimum for any therapy tested in this platform. Specifically, the present operation includes a Flat Panel with PACS (Flat panel C-arm along with a new PACs system), OCT (Optical Coherence Tomogrphy system with fractional flow reserve measurement capacity for endovascular applications) and Phacoemulsification equipment to perform cataract and anterior vitrectomy surgery. These facilities will be integratet in the workflow and imaging technologies currently available (ver http://www.nanbiosis.es/portfolio/u24-medical-imaging/) in order to create a multimodal and clinically relevant imagng platform for the scientific community to use with large animal models of cardiovascular disease.
