MYCORRHIZA ENCAPSULATION TECHNOLOGY WITH SELECTED STRAINS

The overall objective of the company’s R & D department is to achieve environmentally friendly biofertilising and biopesticides products that improve the productivity of agricultural plantations, without increasing the carbon footprint in the manufacturing process, and control pests of agronomic interest, promoting the use of novel products of natural origin and involving a substantial change from existing products on the market._x000D_ within the framework of this project, it has been proposed to carry out the isolation of selective and specific strains of mycorrhiza-forming fungi from several target crops, which will subsequently be encapsulated in order to be able to apply in the coating of seeds of the same crops, so that the effect of chemical fungicides applied to the seeds can be saved by having them protected during the first days of the effect of these fungicides. With this type of solution we managed to reduce a treatment application, which for the farmer is very advantageous because it decreases the operational costs of the holding, maintaining the efficiency and the beneficial result for the crop to apply a specific mycorrhiza for each target crop. _x000D_ Kimitec’s commercial objective is to increase its current portfolio of products with exclusive and unique organic products that allow a clear differentiation of competition, growing in the production of general mycorrhiza, in which it is now a benchmark.
