Funding is requested for the necessary renovation of obsolete instrumentation that updates and improves the proteomic platform of the Central Service of Support for Experimental Research of the Universitat de València. The Proteomics Service is a member of the Network Proteomics Platform of the Carlos III Health Institute (ProteoRed) and supports numerous researchers both from the university itself and from public and private external centers on a national and international level. Therefore, the incorporation of state-of-the-art instruments is a requirement to maintain the quality and competitiveness of the service offered to the scientific community, as well as for the implementation of the most innovative applications and techniques that promote the research of users at the forefront of scientific advances. Specifically, funding is requested for the acquisition of a triple quadrupole-ionic trap hybrid mass spectrometer and another of Ultraresolution (Ultra High Resolution) with ESI and MALDI ionization sources. These instruments will significantly improve and extend the performance of current instruments with the ultimate goal of meeting the increasingly demanding needs of researchers.
