This proposal proposes the generation, in the Cell Crops and Citometry Service of the Central Support Services for Experimental Research (SCSIE) of the University of Valencia and the VLC/CAMPUS campus of excellence, of a technological platform that allows the genetic marking of cells through tools based on the use of viral vectors for the genomic integration of state-of-the-art fluorescent reporters and the separation of cells by flow cytometry. The proposal identifies two current shortcomings of this service that do not allow the achievement of the objectives pursued by the platform as regards the lack of biosecurity facilities for the use of defective viral vectors widely used in biotechnological and biomedical research and the current lack of a cytometer-separator. Therefore, funding is requested to provide a biosecurity laboratory P2+/P3 crop area to work with lentivirus, adenoassociated and similar and for the acquisition of a flow cytometer FACSAria FusionTM analyser and separator of the latest generation.
