The S3 project is an ambitious bet by a consortium made up of three Almeriens companies: The Provincial Agricultural and Livestock Cooperative San Isidro SCA; Cried and López S.L. and Agroindustrial Kimitec. Each company is a leader in its line of business and form an optimal team to achieve the scientific, technological and commercial objectives of this proposal, which pursues innovative, complementary objectives that will allow the development of new strategic products for each of them._x000D_ The consortium seeks to achieve an almerian tomato different from the others, with unique organoleptic and sensory properties by providing it with a nutritional label and ensuring a zero waste strategy for marketing, in summary, a tomato production with:_x000D_ -Improving the organoleptic quality of tomato and its post-harvest behavior._x000D_ -Integration of preventive measures for pest control in tomato_x000D_ -Integration of active strategies for pest control in tomato_x000D_ The chemical composition of fresh tomato depends on factors such as cultivar, maturity, light, temperature, season, climate, soil fertility, irrigation and agronomic management, this number of factors demands innovative solutions for sustainable and competitive agri-food production. The consortium proposes the following innovations that represent a differential and strategic technological leap for each company:_x000D_ -Biostimulation focused on organoleptia and post-harvest_x000D_ — Postharvest improvement by providing products that mobilise elements that help the best conservation of the fruit_x000D_ -Bioprotection “non-residual”. Development of biopesticides._x000D_ -Technicals of incorporation of bioprotectors to greenhouse mesh._x000D_ With the integrated work of the three companies and their technological developments in this proposal it will be achieved that in Almería a tomato is cultivated more tasty, healthier and more sustainable (S3) that allows its differentiation and competitive improvement in the market.
