The CSIC foresees within its development and improvement strategy for its Institutes the construction of a new IRNASA headquarters to be integrated into the Agro-environmental Campus, which is an extension of the University Campus, which would facilitate IRNASA to improve its visibility for university students (improvement of the number of personnel in training), interact directly with the Faculty of Agriculture (improvement of its teaching capacity), and approach the productive sector to offer its scientific-technical capabilities to it (improvement of transfer). The three axes -Teaching-Transfer-Research- would be reinforced, in addition, with a greater projection of the new Institute to society (Disclosure), also giving a greater outlet to the perception of CSIC activities in the autonomous community._x000D_ For the construction of the new building, the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and the University of Salamanca have presented an agreement with the Diputación de Salamanca and the Ayuntamiento de Salamanca for the creation of a new agricultural campus in La Platina, southwest of the city. The Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Salamanca, a CSIC center dedicated to studies on agricultural crops and their products, environmental conservation and livestock health, already has one of the two plots that will be dedicated to this new Campus , assigned by the City Council
