OBJECTIVE: To develop a regional network architecture of ¿infobanks¿, conceived as repositories of health data, which combine information from different sources, both from clinical, administrative and research systems. This architecture will function as a platform that provides services to clinicians, managers and researchers, equipped with interrogation, analysis and visualization tools. The validity and usefulness to generate knowledge and improve care will be evaluated. SCOPE: Joint exploitation of health data between different SERMAS center repositories for secondary use at different levels of care and with a population perspective. METHODOLOGY: Use of open international standards for the meaning of clinical data: UNE-EN ISO 13606 and 13940, SNOMED CT. Use of open international standards for research data models: i2b2, OMOP. EVALUATION: Analysis of the quality, validity and usefulness of health data for secondary use in research and health outcomes.
