The proposal proposes the generation of competent cell models and proviral expression vectors and Zika viral proteins with the following objectives:_x000D_ 1. Development of a multiplex ELISA system through the use of new antibodies directed to different specific epitopes of ZIKV that allow unequivocally differentiating the presence of this pathogen from other related arboviruses such as Dengue, Chikunguya and West Nile._x000D_ 2.-Molecular diagnoses of the Zika virus (ZIKV) using specific nanoprobes at the ZIKV RNA level and common probes for the rest of the viruses that present with similar initial symptoms, which allow rapid and highly sensitive detection of the viral genome. This type of diagnosis must be rapid, sensitive, specific, low-cost, and allow the detection of the virus from blood, urine, semen, and cerebrospinal fluid samples._x000D_ 3. Development of recombinant viral proteins with genomic fragments, for the production of antibodies and the subsequent development of ELISA diagnostic tests._x000D_ 4. Determination of the pathological mechanisms associated with viral infection and identification of potential antiviral drugs._x000D_ This will constitute a robust tool for effective epidemiological surveillance with field work in neighboring countries and also in ports, airports, and primary and emergency care.
