The current WWTP of Albacete has been in operation since 1991, dealing with both the urban discharges generated in the city and the discharges generated in the industrial estates of Campollano and Romica._x000D_ As a consequence of the strong urban expansion process, the current treatment capacity of the WWTP is insufficient to deal with the discharges that are generated in the city and the industrial discharges._x000D_ It is necessary to undertake works to expand and improve the treatment of the Albacete WWTP, increasing its capacity for purification, improving yields and incorporating the elimination of nutrients.
