The execution of this operation is proposed to respond to the need for protection, conservation and enhancement of the urban furniture set carried out by the Zuloaga workshop in the 20s of the last century. The set consists of eight benches and an ornamental fountain decorated with tiles that collect vintage prints, being originally designed and located in the Plaza de Regla, in the immediate surroundings of the Cathedral. _x000D_ the set of eight banks is currently located in the garden of access to the public residence of seniors “Virgen del Camino”, located within the EDUSI area. The garden is public access during the opening hours of the center and therefore easy to visit, so the maintenance of this location for the whole is considered. The operation proposes the study of the location of the existing elements, relocating them if necessary to be able to incorporate the source as well as the necessary elements of coverage that guarantee their long-term conservation._x000D_ The glazed ceramics used for the decoration of the elements is representative of the work of one of the most important ceramic workshops in the country, but its value also lies in the fact that it is a sample of a fragment of the history of the city, since it contains the representation of different pictures of the period of the city at the beginning of the 20th century. _x000D_ this operation aims, therefore, to help the conservation and restoration of a set of goods with a high historical-artistic value for the city, materialising its commitment to its history and heritage. On the other hand, with the value of the whole, the aim is to offer an attraction that can be enjoyed in the first instance by the users of the residence and the neighbors of the neighborhood, while, because of its proximity to the monumental area, it can be a claim both for the rest of León’s citizens and for tourists.
