The University Institute for Biomedical and Health Research (IUIBS) of the ULPGC is a benchmark in health research. The IUIBS currently converges around 300 researchers from multiple disciplines, belonging to 15 registered research groups. After the constitution of the Institute, based on a model of access and shared use of spaces and infrastructures, divided into laboratories and general services to support research with high performance instrumentation (www.sgi.vidi.ulpgc.es). The 2013 MINECO Equipment Subprogram call let us to obtain a confocal microscope that is included in the Electronic Microscopy Service and the creation of a new Cytometry Service, both shared access and use. In the present call we propose a Field Emission Electron Microscope with variable pressure (FESEM) and an ultramicrotome, for the Service of Electron Microscopy, an equipment for the kinetic analysis of 2D/3D cell images and multiparametric cytometry in vivo, for the High Performance Cellular Phenotyping Service (SFCAR), and a team dedicated to the Clinical and Preclinical Image Analysis Service in vivo (SAICPreC). The objective is to improve the scientific-social-economic development.
