The Department of Territori i Sostenibilitat plans to improve the interurban transport service of travelers by road between the main population centers of the country through the construction of new bus stations. The bus stations exercise an access point to the public transport network, modal interchange nodes or between bus lines and information points._x000D_ The construction of the new Girona bus station is located at the intermodal station buried in the Madrid-Barcelona-French border high-speed line. The new infrastructure will promote intermodality, aims to link the rail and the bus and allows deploying public transport in the Girona area with all its power._x000D_ Users will access the new bus terminal through the lobby of the intermodal station, called satellite building, located on the surface. The buses will have a unique and exclusive access, by means of a ramp to the street located to the south, in the Plaza de Europa._x000D_ The bus station is configured by two areas, in addition to the access of the satellite building:_x000D_ - Scope destined to the reception of travelers, with 10 ticket offices for the sale of tickets, an information office, waiting area and self-vending machines_x000D_ - Platform area. An island will be formed for users that will have a space for waiting. Around this island will be located 27 platforms
