Pedestrian itinerary on the BI-3741 connection to the BI-631 (Alto de Santo Sunday)

In this project, a new access branch from BI-3741 to BI-631 in Alto de Santo Domingo is designed. The action has a double objective; on the one hand, to improve the connection of the BI-3741 with the BI-631 by means of the execution of an acceleration lane that allows the correct incorporation and in safety conditions of the vehicles that circulate through the BI-3741 towards the BI-631 and on the other hand, it is projected the execution of a sidewalk attached to the branch to be built that will guarantee the continuity of the existing pedestrian itinerary, built in previous actions. _x000D_ This 2.5 m wide pedestrian pavement will be built next to the incorporation branch and once it is finished, it will allow the connection through a pedestrian route of the high districts of Bilbao with Artxanda (recreation, leisure and green lung area of Bilbao._x000D_ In this way, an alternative route to the motorised ones is generated, which aims to be a real alternative for travelling between the city of Bilbao and one of its green lungs, thus promoting sustainable urban mobility.
