RESMAT.Development of advanced materials and low ambient impact

It addresses two distinct issues: the viability of reusing waste of different nature to obtain new materials, as well as the study of ceramic materials with new functionalities. In particular they will address the following new challenges: from ceramic and / or non-ceramic waste, are to develop Alkali activated (products with similar properties to ceramics, obviating the prepared baking step) products. Q: Within the study of new materials, will be analyzed factors which depend on the thermal properties of ceramic tiles in order to analyze the possibility of tiles with defined thermal properties. Finally, it will also work in the sintering of ceramic composites for multilayer systems with improved surface properties. The application of the results of this project will facilitate obtaining novel, ceramic products respectful with the environment and with improved properties, allowing to extend the existing current knowledge in companies of ceramic tiles industry
