The purpose of the investment is to invest in local public infrastructure, which will have a positive effect on increasing traffic safety due to the construction of a multifunctional route that will separate motor and non-motor traffic and the construction of crossings for pedestrians and cyclists and public lighting, the connection of cycling and pedestrian connections into a closed and secure network of these connections of Novo mesto, and the increase in cycling and walking.The project under consideration is part of a comprehensive cycling connection, which will be implemented in several stages and will connect various parts of Novo mesto (Bršljin with Ločna, Ločna and Žabja vas and Žabja vas with Gotna vas). The project will build 1.186 m of multifunctional route 3 m wide and provide 2 pedestrian and cyclists crossings (eligible part). Due to the multifunctional route, road lighting will also be regulated (reasonably up to 50 % of the investment in cycling infrastructure). In addition, 100 m of multifunctional route will be built on the Ragovo connector and 110 m sidewalk along the left edge of the main G2 road (unjustified part).
