PIC Cikava is located in the forest area in the southeastern part of Novo mesto. On the entire western edge, it borders the planned route of the 3 rd development axis. As a zone of national importance, the area is intended for the organisation of the largest economic zone in the region of South-Eastern Slovenia and is also part of the national project Economic Centre of South-East Slovenia. The whole zone is approximately 102.2 ha in size, but only in the northern part, about 27 ha is equipped with utilities. This part is also fully occupied. The rest of the area is still unspoiled and has woodland.The project implements 3.77 ha of building land in the zone, which will result in the acquisition of 2.92 ha of completely newly equipped land for economic activities.
