Increasing the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis within the City Hospital “Dr. George Trifon”, Năsăud city, Bistrița-Năsăud county

The general objective of the project/project purpose is to increase the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis at the level of the City Hospital “Dr. George Trifon” Năsăud by settling the expenses caused by the new virus and by purchasing new medical equipment. The project contributes to the objectives, result and achievement indicators of the priority axis of LIOP by purchasing equipment of strict necessity in terms of equipping according to the legislative norms in force the compartment for the treatment of patients infected with Covid-19 newly established within the “Dr. George Trifon” Năsăud City Hospital. Also, the medical equipment that is intended to be purchased is basic in terms of quality and effective medical services. At the same time, the costs incurred by the hospital after 1 February 2020 contribute to the result indicator of the programme, as these expenses were generated by the Covid-19 virus. All these actions contribute to increasing the hospital’s capacity in terms of the number of people it can treat, to make the treatment of infected people more efficient and to maintain the capacity to treat non-Covid patients in the hospital, its core activity. The project also contributes to the timely and effective response of the public health system to the COVID crisis — 19 by increasing the adequate care and treatment capacity of SARS-CoV-2 infection cases, achievable by purchasing medical equipment for equipping the newly established covid compartment within the City Hospital “Dr. George Trifon” Năsăud. The project contributes to the result indicator of LIOP 2S132 — Appropriate care and treatment capacity for cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2/health crisis management by creating all the conditions for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infected patients as well as equipping and equipping the hospital with high-performance equipment, equipment, protective equipment and other facilities needed to provide adequate treatment conditions to patients. The result of this objective will be achieved by increasing the number of entities equipped to manage the COVID-19 health crisis, with adequate capacity to care and treat SARS-CoV-2 infection cases from 0 (prior to LIOP intervention) to 1 (following LIOP intervention) in the City of Năsăud. The intervention capacity currently (before LIOP intervention) is between 30-40 people, and after the implementation of the project it will be between 55-70 people (following the LIOP intervention). The intervention capacity will be improved by the perspective of the medical equipment purchased through the project.
