Increasing innovation in West Region, Timis County by setting up and operationalising a Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer within the Polytechnic University of Timisoara. The aim of this IATTC is to provide support to innovation and technology transfer entities in areas of smart specialisation, namely: Domain 2 — Information and communication technologies, space and security; Domain 4 — Eco-nano-technologies and advanced materials and 3. Energy, Environment and Climate Change The Polytechnic Technology Transfer Innovation Center 2020 (CITT) of the Polytechnic University Timisoara is a support center, established by the Decision of the Board of Directors validated by the Senate and will function as the internal structure of the Polytechnic University Timisoara, subordinated to the Prorector for Scientific Research, Innovation, and Technology Transfer. The general objective of the project has been established in accordance with the Specific Objective: priority Axis 1: Promoting technology transfer, Investment Priority 1.1 — Promoting investment in C&I, developing links and synergies between businesses, research and development centres and higher education, in particular promoting investment in product and service development, technology transfer, social innovation, eco-innovation and public service applications, demand stimulation, networking and clustering and open innovation through smart specialisation, as well as supporting technological and applied research activities, pilot lines, early product validation actions, advanced production and first production capacities, in particular in key enabling technologies and diffusion of general-purpose technologies, 1.1.A) Operation: Support innovation and technology transfer (ITT) entities, i.e. Increase innovation in firms by supporting innovation and technology transfer entities in areas of smart specialisation.
