The profession of firefighter is exposed to a high risk of incapacity due to high physical and mental requirements and strains as well as the continuously increasing complexity of the tasks. The teaching of social, health-promoting and conflict skills is not provided for in the purely technical and technical training of the skilled workers. The aim of the project is to introduce a systematic, demographic-oriented and sustainable PE structure in airport fire brigades at the locations Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Cologne/Bonn and Munich. On the basis of extensive analyses, qualification concepts for specialists and managers are developed in order to improve the quality of leadership and to maintain and promote the employability of MAs in the middle service of the FFW. The aim is to develop a transferable PE concept which can also be implemented in smaller airport and factory fire brigades.
