“Uroma wanted”, individual project No. 1 of the area-related integrated action concept -Sustainable social urban development Kamenz—

Despite a mixed age structure, there are hardly any stable contacts between generations in Kamenz-East. Especially socially weak, young families, especially when they have moved to Kamenz, have little ties to the generation of their parents and grandparents. Low mobility and the decrease in traditional family celebrations reinforce this trend. In addition, some of these families have already been characterised by long-term unemployment in several generations, and social transfers have manifested themselves. In addition to the regular work of the nursery sunshine in childcare, stable intergenerative contacts between children, parents and seniors will be established, which enable intergenerative learning and communication processes for the socially disadvantaged children. The content is about traditions, experiences, memories of life, values, etc., which are exchanged in an appropriate way between children, their parents and seniors. In this way, the children can understand life achievements in an age-appropriate form, and the education of mindfulness can be supported. At the same time, it is possible, in individual cases, for new contact persons for children to be developed to complement the existing parent and educator contacts. For the parents involved, new perspectives can arise in the reflection of their educational and life situation, which contribute to social activation.
