In view of the “Generation Z” and its digital demands, the platform for online-based and competence-oriented choice of degree program was implemented under the premise “Mobile first”. The aim of the platform is to prepare the study programmes in such a way as to prevent discontinuation due to disappointed expectations or performance discrepancies. The follow-up project “Startklar” aims to complement and further develop the previous elements in order to integrate further courses of study. For this purpose, it is important to record and map specific needs, requirements and specificities. As part of workshops, the platform elements are tested with the target group in order to support the individual start of studies. On the one hand, this makes it possible to apply the tools to the target group and, on the other hand, to harness the potential to build social relationships in order to reduce concerns and fears about professional requirements. The approach to achieving the project objectives follows the principle: ConceptionàTesting/Evaluation àImplementation and ensures a high congruence of project objective and project result. After the project, there are transferable tools for online-based and competence-oriented study choices. In addition to a workshop concept, there are guidelines for the maintenance of the online tools and the support of the transfer to other courses of study. Responsible actors have been identified and trained.
