The “New Production School Moritzburg” is a project of work-related youth social work. The project aims at the vocational orientation and preparation of disadvantaged young people who are not (any longer) achieved by existing career entry projects and training measures. The target group is young people aged 16 to 26 looking for work, in particular young people who already have unsuccessful careers in action. The project is intended for young people of both sexes. A total of 24 seats — 8 places per workshop — are available. The young people work in three workshops: the green workshop, the wood workshop and the metal workshop. In the project there is the possibility to catch up with the secondary school graduation. During the course of the action, each young person visits at least one traineeship. In parallel to practical work and subject-specific education, participants in the production school are accompanied and promoted in a socio-pedagogic way.
