The XPulse project aims to develop an Innovative medical X-ray imaging system using intense medium-power lasers for application in the early detection of breast cancer. This system should demonstrate the relevance of the technique by improving contrast and resolution of images, reducing the dose deposited, improving diagnosis (reduction of false negatives and discrimination of false positives) and improving patient comfort (no breast compression imaging).
