The City of Périgueux has wanted the creation of a new wood boiler, equipped with a 3.5 MW Biomass boiler, a gas supplement/aid, to supply a network of 4.8 kilometres long.This project is planned to serve a wide variety of infrastructures for social purposes including buildings of the Town Hall, the Departmental Council, the Regional Council, a polyclinic, collective residences of the OPH and private and an aquatic stadium.The heat will be produced 87 % with wood-energy, a local and renewable resource, coming from a radius of 80 kilometers around Périgueux.This project avoids 3,300 tons of CO2 per year.
