ECONAT: Green Chemistry: research on biomass and catalysts for the design of high value-added molecules

The objective of this theme is to design molecules with high added value. The aim is to develop clean processes to limit the energy consumption, production and discharge of by-products or waste during the transformation of organic molecules and to promote the use of renewable carbon sources. The project is based on 2 main objectives:1- valorisation of biomass (success, lipids)the objective is to develop bio-based chains for the manufacture of products of conveniences currently available by petrochemical2-catalytic materialsthe objective is to develop new analytical techniques allowing to characterise, in near real time and very fine ways, the chemical materials that have been synthesised.
