Built in 1975 on the territory of Blanc-Mesnil, the Manouchian Migrant Workers Home is located on Santos Dumont Street, northwest of the town of Blanc-Mesnil. After having been included in the Treatment Plan for Migrant Workers’ Homes, in category 1, the Manouchian Home is now one of the axes of the ANRU’s intervention within the framework of the Urban Renovation project of the City of Blanc-Mesnil. The Manouchian fireplace had 240 single rooms of approximately 10 m² before the start of the works. Each floor, composed of 10 single rooms, is equipped with showers and communal toilets, as well as a collective kitchen. The main focus of the project is the production of self-contained, self-contained dwellings for the relocation of residents. The operation consists mainly of units of type T1, equipped with individual toilets (washer, shower and toilet) and equipped with an equipped kitchen area. The heavy restructuring of the Foyer covers the entire building and provides for the complete renovation of the buildings as part of the creation of self-contained dwellings. Seine-Saint-Denis habitat aims for thermal performance for the future social residence on a BBC Renovation level. In addition, in order to reduce the cost of expenses related to the new configuration of the residence (sanitary and individual kitchens), one of the challenges of the project is to control the energy consumption of the dwellings.
