Installation of pedestrian links “Green waves”

As a continuation of the studies carried out in 2007, the city of Cournon d’Auvergne decided to enrich the territory of a new urban park on a land area of 11 000 m² belonging to the municipality but so far without any specific use. This space is a strong landscape continuity with the future eco-neighborhood of the Palavezy and the two green waves to create that are the alley of the Morvan and the Gourmande alley. The urban community, Clermont Auvergne Métropole, by taking over the competence of planning public space will now implement these pedestrian paths paying particular attention both to ecological continuity and to the recreational aspects of nature in the city. The alley of Morvan will be planted with a double line of trees, bordered to the west by a large hedge that will conceal the fence of the adjoining school. The development of the Gourmande alley is based on the concept of picking and plapping, the discovery of fruit trees, with the possibility to become the support of educational activities.
