Innovative Mobility: Production and Management of Renewable Energy Vectors (Mobin-PGVER)

This project consists of financing expenditure of staff specifically recruited for the project and expenditure covering all other direct and indirect eligible costs of the project at a flat rate of 40 % of eligible staff expenditure. This is an academic research project of LabEx IMobS3 (Innovative Mobility: Smart and Sustainable Solutions) enabling a demonstration of Innovative Mobility that showcases skills in process engineering, robotics and decision-making. The Mobin-PGVER project addresses the link between the development of an innovative hydrogen fuel production process by direct photolysis of water via solar photoreactors (renewable hydrogen) and the use of this process in the piloting of a system (self-contained vehicle) whose activity is energy-powered both by this process and by another energy source. In the context of the energy transition, it is essential to be able to store renewable energy, which is mostly intermittent, especially for mobility. In this context, the hydrogen vector is all designed to contribute significantly to the energy mix, but it is now 95 % produced from fossil resources that deplete and emit CO2 massively. A promising renewable pathway is to directly photolysis water from solar energy.
