This project is to finance the acquisition of a fleet of 124 Electric Assistance Bicycles and communications expenses. As part of a comprehensive policy aimed at developing alternative modes of car use in urban areas, SMTC-AC has set up a long-term bicycle rental service, which now consists mainly of electric bikes (EVBs). Since 2017, at the arrival of the beautiful days, the number of rentals of VAE at the agency located on the Parvis de la Gare SNCF has increased sharply leading to the creation of a waiting list, the number of bikes being insufficient to meet all requests. This finding, which is correlated with the fact that access to the service is possible only in the city centre of Clermont-Ferrand, leads the SMTC-AC to want to develop and develop its service by creating an off-site rental service for VAE in peripheral municipalities. In parallel with this retail offer, TCMS-AC has identified a real demand from companies for EAV fleet loans. For example, SMTC-AC wishes to provide requesting companies with a fleet of EAVs for a limited period so that they can test this mode for business travel by their employees.
