Establishment of a methanisation unit in the municipality of Pannes (45)

The Centrale Biogaz de Chaumont (CBCHT) is responsible for the development, financing, construction and operation of a territorial methanisation unit in the communes of Pannes (Department of Loiret). CBCHT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vol-V Biomasse. The HBCHT is made up of 45 partners, including 37 farmers, 6 industries and 2 communities. The main objectives of this project are: —energy recovery of more than 18 000 tonnes of waste: energy and agronomic use of local organic matter and for almost all agricultural and agro-industrial materials (straw, equine manure, industrial waste, etc.), — biogas production: approximately 2 500 000 m³ of biogas per year. The biogas produced will be purified in biomethane and will be continuously injected into the local city gas network (this production is equivalent to the annual heat consumption of about 4,000 people). —The production of an organic amendment: the project is expected to produce approximately 17,500 tons of raw digestate. This digestate will be distributed to farmers who will supply the unit, who will use it as an organic amendment as an alternative to mineral fertilisers or organic matter imported into the territory. The CBCHT project also aims to implement a local demonstrator of an innovative multi-partner project.
